Buenos Aires, March 19 (NA) – The National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC) released the Business Confidence Index (ICE) for the manufacturing industry for the month of February 2026. According to the Argentine News Agency, “the ICE for the manufacturing industry is composed of the business opinion on future production expectations, the current assessment of the total customer order portfolio, and the current assessment of the level of finished product stocks; it can take values between -100% and 100%”, as communicated in the INDEC report. On this matter, it informs that “the business confidence indicator for the manufacturing industry stood at -18.7% in February 2026” and explains how the number was formed. INDEC explains that “the balance is the percentage of positive responses minus the percentage of negative responses; responses of equal, normal, adequate or no change are ignored”.
